Wedding Makeup Inspiration
July is quickly coming to an end and with August comes a whole new set of things to do. Not kidding, I have so much going on with a sweet concert, house hunting and my favorite anime coming back on August will be jam packed. The first up on my list is one of my best friend's wedding in Michigan. We've both have never been to Michigan and I am for one excited to be shown around a little by some awesome locals!
We are not only traveling to the wedding, we are both in the actual event itself. So while I have my dress picked out and my hair is being done for me - yay - I get to do my own makeup and I am having a hard time deciding what to do, to no one's surprise. I had both my hair and makeup done for my own wedding and even though I don't think I wear a crazy amount of makeup, I've never had to look good for someone else's pictures. So in an effort to look my best I have four different makeup options that I would love some input from my readers on, so tell me which look is your favorite?
*A disclaimer that I will be wearing fake lashes, however my search is still on for lashes that I like and can apply without messing my whole face up.
Look 1 is a very light gold and coral shadow with no base, a small cat eye and a coral lip. I love my wings and they are signature look for me, and I wanted this look to be lighter and not as vibrant, so I think a half up hairstyle would be sweet with this.
Look number 2 is a smokey eye, though again not as vibrant because though it will be fun this wedding isn't a night on the town, it is still a wedding. I chose a nude lip for this look because I want the focus to be on my eyes, I feel this look will pair best with an updo.
Look 3 is a white eyeshadow base and a thicker more dramatic cat eye with a smidgen of white on my water line to make my eyes look bigger and pop. My amazing new lipstick from NYX pairs perfectly with this classic look, I would love to wear this look with my hair down or to the side.
The 4th and final look is a beige shadow and small cateye, with a coral accent liner on the bottom. I am wearing a pink coral lip to try and match my liner. This one is a little more out there and fun, but so am I so it works.
So now it's time to vote! Let me know which look you like best in the comments, or maybe I'm making a mistake and you want to torture me with one more look that would suite me better? Bring it on....
