Products I Geek About : Skincare Edition
Recently I have come upon some of my best skin ever, its been an amazing time! In the past I have had real problems with acne, and it can be the most frustrating stuff. I have fixed my diet too and while that makes a world of difference I still have to keep everything clean! So I have put together this list of products I use, to try and help out anyone who is still frustrated too.
Yes to Cucumbers: Soothing facial towelettes
Though I do understand that the Yes to Tomatoes wipes wipes are geared more for acne prevention, I prefer the soothing wipes when taking off makeup, they make my skin feel so much soother after removing foundation.
Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser
This stuff is the absolute Bees-Knees! I almost cried when my local Target stopped carrying it, until I found it at Ulta, thank god. I love this stuff so much because it is thick and very sudsy, so you can actually feel like you are clean!
I don't use my konjac sponge every time I wash my face, but I know you can. They are quite soft when you wet them, though whether or not they feel like they are doing anything its probably the best way to scrub on your cleanser. They open up your pores like nothing else can.
Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm
I love using this after a long day, or hard workout. You rub the balm all over and heat up the cloth under warm water then drape it over your face. This opens up your pores and when you wash off the balm with face cleanser its an intensely refreshing deep clean!
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel has been the only toner that I am able to use that doesn't dry my sensitive skin out, plus a huge bottle can last you forever!
Simple Moisturizer with SPF 15
The whole simple skin care line is fantastic, and this moisturizer is super light on my skin while still protecting it.
Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment
Salicylic Acid, aka the thing I always pronounce wrong, is the main acne fighting medicine I use. Benzyl peroxide dries my skin out way to quickly, like after one use, and I am able to use the acid whenever I need too with out making my skin flaky. It is also in most of the anti acne products on this list.
L'oreal Miracle Blur Eye Treatment
I have used a couple different eye treatments to combat circles and bags, and so far this has been my favorite. Though I don't have an extreme case all the time this really seems to help me out, because waking up at 530am is brutal.
Dr. Jart Water Max Sleeping Mask
I will admit this is the most expensive thing on the list, but it is sooooo worth it! I use this, mostly in the winter on top of my initial moisturizer at night and it helps out my flaky dry weather skin. Now because you don't have to use it every night it lasts at lot longer than normal moisturizer, so the price doesn't seem like such a bad thing when I tell you I have had mine for almost a year now...
Lush : The Rough With the Smooth
This scrub bar from Lush is the bomb, I use it mostly on my legs before I shave, but it feels fantastic as a weekly scrub on the face. Also the smell is to die for!
